I sold my Ski Doo Everest to my buddy so I could by this SS. I have had the 1980 Ski Doo Everest 500 for for six years and the engine was rebuilt in 2000. It is stored inside and is well maintained. There is probably less than 400 miles on it. Today first snow of the season. The Everest ran great for my buddy and then about 20 minutes later it bogged down and died. It would start right up and then bog down and die at half throttle. It wasn't doing it to begin with and it has never done it to me. We replaced the fuel line with some that I had laying around 3/16 and there seems to be air in the line. Would that have anything to do with it. Any help please. There was a spark on the right side wire when I opened the hood.

Took the carb off and there was a small sliver of plastic stuck in the main jet. The sliver was red like from a plastic gas can. Runs like a top now. Thanks for the help anyway.
