Glad to hear you are ok, kind of a rough introduction to driving don't you think?

A seat belt saved my life about 10 years ago, head on with a stoned 16 yr old. Broke my skull, and really screwed with my vision for a long time.
A seat belt saved my brothers life this summer, T boned at 60 mph, broke his spine. He may never walk again, but he is going to be able to help raise his children and care for his wife.

From the drunks and wasteoids to the blind and ignorant, driving is a risk every time you get behind the wheel, all you can do is try and be prepared for it. Seat belts, air bags, and good vehicle maintenance are all a good start.

Again, glad you are ok, vehicles can always be replaced.

Glad to hear that you are ok. I hope everyone does the same with snowmobiles. I know a few guys that do & they all have a wife & kids. It is to bad they are a bunch of great guys but it is like talking to a wall :bash: when it comes to drinking & riding. That is the reason why I don't ride with them.

I am glad to hear you are ok, gear head 89.. Tough lesson to have to larn at 17 years old...

My father was 48 years old when he was killed by an impaired (stoned) driver... He wasn't even driving, Dad was changing a flat tire, he had pulled off the highway two other times until he came to a spot he thought would be far enough off the road to be safe.. The 20 year old driver suffered minor injuries, and got off with 5 years probation for the accident and 1 year county jail for all the drugs he had in the van.. My 12 year old sister was standing only 5 feet away when this all happened and she saw the whole thing..

Everyone be safe, in cars or on sleds...life is precious..not just yours but everyones around you too..
