Just in the middle of purchasing a 93 mach 1...The speedometer cable has broke away from where it attaches down behind the clutch...Theres a small plate, and it fits in a hole right beside it (looks hard to get to)...anyone ever have to replace this before?
Any tips on how to go about it would be appreciated.
Thanks.

easy

take off the 3 bolts and replace the plate if needed

or if its the speedo cable itself buy a new one and screw on

Like Freeze said, but make sure the bearing is ok on the drive shaft. I just replaced the cable on my mine but found the bearing needed replacement. Apparently the cable can break due to a bad bearing.

Simlar topic, http://www.snowmobilefanatics.com/forum/to...rchTerms=speedo

yes make sure you check the drive axle bearings. because that is a sure sign when the speedo cable breaks. The drive bearings are shot and snaps the cable.

make sure you deduct a few bucks if you have to replace the drive bearings its a pain to replace track has to come off. And if you have never done before its not easy because i have done it when i had my 92 plus.
