hey yall. i got a 1986 indy trail and the skid was mangled on one side. seems the bolt cam loose on the main pivot and the other dropout broke on the side of the rail. anyone got a parts break down of this skid or the components. the rear arm dosent seem to want to return to fully extended when u relase the tention on it. but will anyother skid rails fit on my sled? anyhelp apprecated thanx

I Just got a skid from a 91 RXL Indy for my 86 Trail, and every thing was the same except for the rear torque arm. If you can get a newwer susp then I would say its worth the swap. Very easy to do, very inexpensive, and supposedly much better ride.( just did the swap yesterday, so havent ridden it yet)

my suspension was frozen too, and i didnt have much money for a newer one, so i drilled all of the rods out with a drill press, and bought stock aluminum ($30 for 6 ft) and i made my own rods. saved me about $200 at least, thats something you might want to consider.

my dad and brother also had to do it to theres when they bought it
