Hi guys I'm looking for some help with a suspension swap. Today I helped a friend swap an xtra-10 from a 96 Indy 500 into a 94 500 Classic. We had some trouble bolting it in. The old suspension used the lower rear mounting holes under the running board so thats where we bolted the xtra -10. The hole was off by a 1/4 inch but with a little prying we got the bolts in. Now instead of having crappy suspension we have no suspension. The rear arm moves about 1 inch and hits the coupling block and thats it. With both of us standing on the running boards we can't get the suspension to move at all. Apparently we did something wrong as the suspension worked nice in the donor sled before we took it out this morning. Any help would sure be appreciated.

I'm doing the same thing right now to a 93 Indy Trail and searched just this evening.
Got this from Timespentsearching.

You are going to have to move your rear mounting plate. Your suspension is bottoming out. I did the same thing.

Here is the web site that he provided for the change you want to do.

Thanks for the tip skyhawk8. I got the measurements from jb shock and gave them to my buddy. He move the mounting holes and it works like a charm.
