Just got a clean 92 v-max 4.

I am surprised how fast it ended up being for an old sled.

I know the suspension is outdated, but as far as the power, how does it compare to sleds like the f7, zr800, srx700, mxz's, etc............

Tell me anything about these sleds......

One thing I remember is that they where drinking gas faster that anyone could imagine. I remember seeing them with gas can strapped around the seat to be able to make it.

I know the 95 and up ( 800 ) are fast and can keep up to the big boyz no problem, just needs the clutching set up right..They are a nice sled and you are right the suspensions are not great but it's not hard to swap another one in there....Sled looks really good Congrats

I got it for $950.....and it already had the following

3100 miles
new hyfax
new carbides
new track with pics

All I have done was new spark plugs, fresh gas and a can of seafoam.

Did run into a small problem trying to register it in IL, it has no registration and the liscense store refuses to give me a registration, without a current one.

So far pretty happy, hope to someday get an 800.

I had a "94" V Max 4 it was all set up with trail mods.....I'll tell you right now it should run with anything if you set it up right. I never lost a race on the lake Now on the trail a 340 fan will take you I sold mine a year ago...the guy that bought it was from Texas :dazed: I sold it because it was hard to ride a lot of miles everyday on rough trails. You got yourself a great sled  If you ever want to sell it PLEASE let me know

The only thing I know about it is that it's the coolest sounding sled ever. A V-Max 4 with a set of pipes sounds like nothing else in the world, and you should get some sound bites of it so that after you sell it you'll still be able to listen to the music.

I had a 92 also power was great, never had any engine troubles. Smooth trail and lakes it was one of the best sleds I have owned. The machine was very heavy and would wear me out on the rough trails.
