Good Riddles

Any of you guys have any good riddles? I'm looking to figure out some and use them on our Outdoor Recreation Trips here at college...

Here's one to think about...

~You are in a room with 3 light switches on the wall. All 3 are in the down position. There is a light in the attic, which you can't see. 1 of the 3 switches controls the light. You are allowed 1 trip up to the attic, so how do you figure out which one of the switches controls the light?~

A-You CAN'T see the light, and there is no way to see the light through the use of mirrors, other people, etc...
B-The answer is not stupid, it's logical and will actually work.
C-If you know the answer, please don't wreck it for everyone else.

Here is one I like, it is kinda long and I hope I can make it so you can understand it. And it might be easier since you are reading it who knows.


Three guys go on a trip to the UP and find a room that is advertised for $30.00. Each guy pays ten bucks and goes to the room. The front desk clerk realizes that the room is only supposed to be $25.00 so she gives the bell hop 5 one dollar bills to reimburse the men.
On the way to the room the bell hop realizes he doesn't know how to split the 5 dollars between the three guys. He sets aside one dollar for each of the men and puts two dollars in his pocket. The men paid $30 for the room and are getting $3 dollars back. The origianl $30 minus the $3 equals $27 dollars. Now if you ad the remaining $2.00 that the bell hop put into his pocket you only come up with $29.00, anyone know where the missing one dollar is at?
