Well, after 6 days of riding averaging over 100mi. a day we are pretty sore but Old Forge does and EXCELLENT job of grooming day and night... The conditions were better than you'd think considering a pretty low snow year so far.. The lake effect snows saved us... Check out the ski-doo buggy,.. Driver said he was "catching air" with it... It was a real attention getter that's for sure.

It was dicey.. First day was good, second day rained, 4th day freezing rain and ice pellets changing over to rain but we had some snow inbetween those rains.... This weeks forecast calls for more "wintery mix" weather up there.. Bummer. 3 sleds went through the ice on Raquette lake while we were there and two collisions happened on 4th lake. Another guy in the parking lot rolled his new Polaris on his first day. Lot's of damage to the sled and his arm and leg.. poor bastid, couldn't drive, ride or do anything. We rode 4th lake, and stillwater reservoir. Someone told us the slush and open water was marked with red flags.. Guess what... it wasn't..
