Default Hello and goodbye

I haven’t logged on for some time now but I just wanted to say goodbye (for now I hope). I sold everything the 2 sleds the trailer and most of my stuff. I look at what is going on in the world and I am afraid we are all in for one giant storm and It has not even got going yet. I could afford to keep them but ant current gas prices I could not justify the fun to expense factor and gas will not be going down in the near future I would bet everything I have that it will hit $2L by next summer. Things will get back to normal in time but how long and how much damage will it do on the way? It is a choice I made to protect the future of myself and my family they must come first. I used the money to pay off most of my debts including car loans ect ect ect. If everything works out hey I get get a new one so its not a big deal. I have had lots of fun over hear, you are all great and helped me lots. I know I was not the nicest guy at times and I have a strong stance on what I believe in but hey that’s just me.

Thanks all I hope everything works out hear for everyone hope to be back in a few years have fun.

Ice,
I haven't been here long enough to 'meet' you. I understand your point of view, though. Family should always come first! Good luck and hope to get a chance to get to know you on the forums in the future!

You gotta do what you think is right ... but you don't have to leave the forum. Once a sledder, always a sledder.

See you back on the trails in a while.

Best of luck Ice and lets hope that storm you talked about is one with all that white gold . I know what you are saying though, it 's looking grim but I have my fingers and toes crossed .
Like Mike D said dont be a stanger around here we always can shoot the bull and you know how all of us here are one big family.
Snow4 and I are planning a season as the norm but we will see how things go here for us too.

Best wishes
Mutt

I think you know how crazy I am for this sport, and your post really touched me. I totally agree with your point of view and I really admire your responsibility and sensibility on this. I would be doing the same thing if I had to, and it would be the smartest move at this point. It's one hell of a sacrifice, but I think you'll be riding again before too long.

Well, I suspect your fears are on alot of people's minds Ice, and I respect what you felt you needed to do for you and yours.

I wish you all the best with your decisions and let's hope someday you can get comfortably back into this sport we all love.

No need to stay away completely though as we would all love to hear how things are going and get your valued imput.

Hear you loud and clear, have cut back my riding dramatically but refuse to give it up, life is oh so short and this is something that brings a smile to my face.!

Default Good luck...

I can understand some of those fears and come to realize cheap fuel prices are a thing of the past. We all and we will, have to adjust to it. You can thank American greed for that.
You can still stop in and say "Hi" now and then and wish you the best. I have my sleds and trailer for sale and if they sell, ok and if not, ok too. If I still have them this winter I will be up to ride in the great State of Michigan.
