The fog came to roost last night!

Yep, "hint" is a good word for it. We get these weird springtime fogs when the ice and snow get warmed during the day so the air picks up moisture, but the air stays colder and fog settles low in the evenings over the snow. It's almost an eerie thing, the way it just appears.

Cool picture, you can see the facets that cause persistent weak layers in the snowpack.

Wow! I've never had that happen. I can't believe you can still snowmobile. Its 70 today and its gonna be almost 90 tomorrow here in Connecticut. Too bad you can't have the best of both worlds Well have fun while you can.

Whiskey I don't know how you can stand it. A cold fog sounds like it would be a bit much for me. But I guess some people are tougher than others. Thanks for the picture
