Default 82 Enticer 250-won't draw fuel

I recently overhauled a 1982 Enticer 250 and everything works fine but it won't draw the fuel into carb. I bought a carb kit, everything is cleaned up, purrs like a kitten when primed but cuts out after burning off primer. Won't draw fuel up to carb. Fuel will move up and down a little in tube but not all the way. Seems to have good vacuum. Any ideas? Thanks!!!!!

Pull the fuel line off the carb . pull it over the fuel should spit out.Than the fuel pump is good.

Reconnect it, prime it, run throttle open; does it run until you let off the throttle?
you probably have to clean the carb more, or adjust the carb.

I will try that and see if fuel pump is good. It does run with throttle open but cuts out when primer burns off. Thanks for the suggestions, and any others you have.

Did you replace, or check, the pulse line from crankcase to the fuel pump (maybe old and weather cracked)? check for kinks in the fuel line (that got me once). Just a couple thoughts.
