Default 1996 Polaris XCR SP 600 Triple Backfiring out of carbs

I have a 96 Polaris XCR 600 Triple it is back firing out of two carbs. The Clutch side, and center. When I pulled the plugs those two carbs were pitch black on the end while the last one was clean. I checked the compression on all of the cylinders and they are all 115. I also put iso-heet in the gas. That seemed to help out. I also did a quick cleaning on the carbs and that helped. But it still is back firing out of the two carbs, with those two plugs being black. Does any one have any suggestions? Could the spark plug wires being crossed cause this? I just bought this sled two days ago. If you can help me out that would be great. Thanks

Crossed wires may be the problem. Your coils should be right below and slightly to the right of each carb. they just come up to each cylinder in the order they are bolted to the block from left to right

Nope.. Checked the wires they weren't crossed. But I tried it. Have any other suggestions. Its clutch side and middle carbs backfiring. Then If I put my hand over the carb on the side closet to the exhaust the motor shuts down. I don't know whats up? Could this still be carb adjustment, or does what should I do next?

Are the plugs black AND wet? Oily in other words?

Clean your entire exhaust setup. Then drain your gas tank and carbs and run fresh premium with some iso heat through it for a while.

They look black and like soot. they look black and dry in other words. Its only two plugs that look like that clutch side and middle. The other is clean. What could that mean?

Hopefully it's just crap in your exhaust system working its way into the cylinders. I'd clean that and the airbox to start.
