Thumbs down Stripped throtle housing screw

Well today I was installing my powermadd handguards and to do so I had to loosen the throttle housing screw to get a little more room for the mounts. While doing so I think I striped the threads in the housing and now as I ride the throttle moves. I don't really wanna get a new throttle housing but what would you guys do. I was thinking about maybe taking the screw out and throwing a self tapering screw in there. Any advice?

Thanks

Taking the screw out and throwing a self tapering screw is a good idea

Drill out the platic hole you stripped and drill and tap it for a larger one. Much better fix then using a self tapping screw.
