Default 1969 Bombardier Olympique

Hi,

I am new to the forum, I joined up because I am planning to fix up and old 69 ski doo i have laying around. It was my fathers when he was a kid and I remember him still riding it into the 90's. Its been sitting for about 10 years, so i know i'm going to have to do a lot to fix it up.

I think fixing it up would bring a big smile to his face, so i want to spend the summer working on it. I am here because i have searched far and wide and i cannot seem to find a shop manual for the sled. Does anyone know where i can find one or does anyone have a copy of one?

Thanks.

well i'm basically doing a complete restoration from an almost complete sled. I was looking for the manual just for some guidance on dis-assembly and assembly. I guess i will just free wheel it and ask questions on here as i go. I was also interested in some of the more detailed info a manual gives you, like compression ratio's, timing settings, etc...

Thanks though, but if anyone comes across a service manual collecting dust in the garage let me know!

i would just have the engine updated a little bit such as new and better heads and porting...timing is somthing you can play with for power and efficiency...just depending on how much octane you want to run...you should do fine with out a manual but i bet you can find one on ebay somtime
