Default Polaris classic Troubleshooting

I have a polaris indy classic and it has sat for about a year and a half and now i cant get it started first it wasn't getting gas so i cleaned the carburators and fixed that problem. now i noticed its not getting spark i know the coil and spark plugs work because i tested them on another indy classic (my buddy's) Idk what else could be stopping the spark ?? unless the magneto is gone any input is helpful thanx

Check your kill and key switches by unplugging them one at a time. If that does work then check your stator with an ohm meter. Depending upon the year, engine and wiring set up there are different values that you test for. I just finished working on a 400 Indy and was able to do a search for the specs on the Internet and used them successfully.

Next to the white rectangular connector coming out of the stator housing is one single black wire by itself. Disconnect that and that will eliminate all kill switches.
