Default question polaris xlt

got a 93 polaris xlt it has 4500 miles on it all 3 cylinders are at 100psi compression, i took heads off cylinders look good ,no scoring , should i just go with std pistons and call it good, or how can i tell if it needs to be bored out?

Got to get the bore and the piston measured to see if it is out of spec. I am not shure about the Xlt cylinder being chrome bore or not. If they are then you will have to have them bored and re chromed which can get costly.
I am not at the shop today or I could get you all the spec's and measurement's.

Default Low Compression

Check with dealer what stock #'s should read. If 100 psi is low I would try a different gauge because its possible your gauge reads low. Make sure its at full throttle under normal running conditions. For eg. a dry cyl will read low numbers. Usually if all cylinders are even thats a great sign that little or no repair is needed.

my gauge is fine tryed it on my summit worked good and tryed it on few other things seems ok and it was at full throttle when i tested it, i just finished taking top end off today and took the rings off the piston and tryed them in cylinder to see what the rig gap was at , well my feeler gauges only go up to 30, thousands and that was enough so im thinkin to for bore job? what do ya think guys?

If the cylinders are within specs ... all u may need to do is hone them, use a new pistons / rings and you should be all set. WL.
