just got a deal that is impossible to beat on a new rev 600h.o two tone sport.always had polaris till last year picked up a 99 mx-z 600. i think i'm going to trade it on this new rev .had a few little problems wit hmy mx-z compared to all the excellent years i had on polaris.i hate down time and finiky pissy little problems with sleds like my mx-z .is there any problems with the rev ? besides the carb boots, over fill tube and tank and fuel guage.those alone are almost enough to turn me back to polaris.but this deal is good just have to know the sled is.

I too am looking at buying the 600ho i dont think i'm getting a good deal at $6600. I think i can talk the dealer down to $6200 but if he wont drop his price i'm not buying. I have heard nothing but good about the 600ho except for the things you mentioned, it might be wise to hold off until next year by then hopefully bomber will have all the bugs worked out.
By the way whats the price you can get that for?

I just bought one for the girlfriend (fiance). 2003 600 H.O. REV. Lets just say i am a little jealous. $6450 before taxes was the price. These dealers know that these sleds are a hot item. List is about $6700 - $6900. I still rule the roost with my 160HP 800MXZ though. You cant go wrong with the 600 H.O. Soon you wont be able to get one.

What's the great deal?
Anything less than retail right now is good. Many dealers are getting full retail for floor stock. Now that everyone sees how good the REV is they ae getting scarce and its still December!
I have an 800x and to date the only downs are-
Poor fuel gauge
Small fuel tank (I know its a performance sled... 10.1 gals -- but see MPG below)
Hand warmers do not get hot enough fast enough
Once you get used to the fuel gauge its ok too, I even lighted mine! -- but it scares you at first, it goes to 1/2 a tank very fast but when it reads 1/2 you have used slightly less than 3 gals of fuel!
I never owned a SD b4 the rev, I came from Yamaha, and this SD is built better than any Yamaha I have ever owned and Yammies are known for quality- It is so well thought out its amazing. The handlebar controls are fantastic... a Knob to adjust the headlights, one-finger brake, no grease points on the front suspension, no wet a$$ because of the beaver tail, and the ride, there is NO better sled in the bumps than the REV. It does the flats well too -- but don't they all?
I have over 500 miles and to date there are no others complaints! including gas mileage, I had been worried about the MPG but in hard packed conditions I am consistently getting 12.5 - 13.0 mpg. And that is super for a sled like this!
Good luck!
AAJMO!
BTW - if I read right -- 1) There is no carb boot problems 2)If these simple problems are enough to send you back to Polaris, my advice would be to stay with Polaris, and wait until they come out with something to compete. And forget that "first year" crap, every year ANY sled will have some changes (or why buy the new model?) and there will be problems with those new items so you could never buy a new sled with that rationale!

No carb boot problems, those are very isolated issues. Gas gauge sucks for sure, 1 more gallon of gas would be nice but its not the end of the world. Thats the only complaints I have in 500 miles. Ive owned polaris and doo and this REV is by a good stretch the best sled Ive ever owned.

I have a 600 H.O. sport and I got to do a back to back ride on a convential sled yesterday. I can never return to a conventional seating positon, the REV is just far too comfortable. The sled is the best handling sled I've ever ridden, which is quite the claim because I was always impressed by Cat's front end handling. Its comfortable on the long flat stretches and a hoot in the twisty bumpy sections. It fun watching the guys on their old style sleds bouncing around as you drive through the bumps effortlessly. If you haven't had the chance to take a REV for a long ride, I assure you that you won't be disappointed.

I'm a whisker over 6ft so does anyone have any complaints about legs being cramped on long runs. We go out on all day rides and i don't want to be all cramped up. So if the dealer wont drop his price then i should buy it for $6600 this is the sport with no rer. i havent really shopped around for a better deal but from what i'm hearing this isn't that bad of a price.
