Moving to YK (new to sport)

Hello,

I am moving to Yellowknife this summer. I am new to this sport and am looking forward to my time in YK.

My question is what kinds of sleds should I be looking into for this area? Short track Vs Long track? Are their certain brands or models that have limited access to parts in YK?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

A short track should do,,,,the snow maps this year didn't show a lot of snow out that way this year. Unless you are going to the hills.
