2004 SwitchBack replacing crankshaft question

I purchased an older 2004 Polaris SwitchBack with a 600 Liberty engine. Realized right away something was wrong, so bottom line is I have decided to replace the main crankshaft while it is all apart. Just about to install the new crank and I noticed some of the main bearing outer races have a small pilot hole in them. Does anyone know if this bearing needs to be indexed to a certain point for lube assist or any other reason. I don't see any mention of this in the manual so a little help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You do align that bearing pilot hole only if the caissing have a matching hole in it
