1999 Ski-Doo Formula III 600???

Hey guys,
A guy wants to trade me his 1999 Formula III 600 triple with an MBRP race can on it for my YFZ450 quad.
I've never ridden an FIII before, but i have heard they are famous for blowing up and being incredibly unreliable. I find thid hard to believe because i have seen a TON of them on the trails...
What i wanna know is if they are a good sled, how fast they are, if they will be able to beat my dad's 93' XLT600, the pro's and con's of the sled, and just some general information on them...
Any input would be great,
Thanks

All around good sled. You hear of them blowing up becuase those older tripples had cooling issues with the middle cylender. There are aftermarket cooling kits available. Will it beat your dads maching? well, off the line for sure. Im pretty sure the 93xlt was a twin? if so, than your tripple will take him off the line and top end will be similar. You should take him though!!

Nothing like the smell of 2 stroke in the mornings!!

RIDE FAST!! RIDE HARD!! RIDE SAFE!!
