Forum Shop, Credits, and SWCash are all of the same thing, a forum diversion for fun. First a foremost, none of it is real; NONE OF IT!
But it is fun and addicting, so be forewarned.
By posting, making replies, and various other actions, users automatically get "credits" (SWCash). As a user acquires more and more credits, he/she can then visit the BOARD SHOP, to buy shop items. Again, none of them are real, they are just for fun.
For example, a user may decide to purchase a Glow Name item. Once used, this item will make the user's name in posts, glow (at least in IE 6). Or a user could save up and purchase with his/her credits the ability to start their very own forum, or Pin a topic of their choice, or increase their post count, or even negate another user's post count and make it negative.
The Board Shop only stocks a certain amount of items, which are replenished periodically, but randomly. Some items are free, but you need to be here to get them when they are available. Since they are free, they go fast.
Users can transfer items and credits between each other. Users could even buy an item up, then sell it off to other users via the transfer function.
Moderators can FINE users, for spamming
or for any other reason they chose. Beware the *SERVER* user: He is an autobot that may randomly take away some of your credits if someone reports your post. But, to counter him, I tend to transfer credits to users that I feel deserve them.
Credits can also be awarded for best post, best reply, best avatar, etc. The possibilities are really endless.
It's a fun forum diversion, giving us something else to do when surfing!
