1974 El Tigre 340

I have a 1974 El Tigre 340 and I removed the fuel tank last night and it is pretty bad inside. What would be the best thing to try and clean this thing out? Tank itself is in good shape but pretty gross inside. I was also wondering if there is anywhere I can source a plastic replacement tank for this unit?

We had a '69 Olympique where the tank was integrated into the frame and was completely rusty. We could go about 5 min on a new fuel filter before it clogged up and was done.

I ended up mounting a 5 gal plastic gas can behind the seat and ran 1/8" copper tubes along the bottom of the seat to the carbs. Cheap and it worked! I wish I had a picture of it...

If you use google to search for 'used snowmobile parts' you will find a bunch of places that part out old sleds. You may be able to find an original that matches the sled. I posted a bunch of links recently for someone with a warped y-pipe.
