Bottom Line Is...............If you don't go with a friend or a guide who knows the area(s), STAY on the trails!! It's not worth risking your life. I know people who live/ride there & hear all the stories about all the "tourists" who come & go boondocking & get themselves in a heap of _hit. There's a reason why they require you to carry a transponder with you when you go into "wild" areas. Be smart........

Don't know where you will be in Colorado, but you can get a report on most trails by going to

I am riding on westen slope, Grand Mesa and usually have 1 - 2 feet of powdery snow.

Hope this helps.
