Hi , just finished doing a little work on the rmk . Was having problems with the motor , it would not pull properly untill the rpm passed 7000 . Pulled the clutch off and noticed the spring was looking a littel beat up . Im starting to think that i have the wrong color coded spring installed . The spring that is there now is green and the weights are 10-66 ...
Any help would be greatly appreciated , not much help to get from the dealers over here Thanks.........
P.S.Does anyone know if i can order a workshop manual on cd rom ? 2004 rmk 800
Download the info here:
I have uploaded the PDF file directly. You are using the proper weights and springs for your primary, assuming you ride mostly under 3000 feet altitude. It wouldn't hurt to replace that spring with a fresh one, but more likely your secondary needs refreshing. The slider buttons are probably worn out, and/or the helix/spring combo in the secondary does not match.
Note, if you have any aftermarket exhaust (single or twin pipes) DO NOT use the Polaris clutching chart, if you have a custom exhaust you have to use the clutching chart from the pipe maker.
thank you for the help , found out what i was looking for ! :D
