1980 Mfg. Skidoo Citation

hi to all, good site!

i now have a skidoo citation 3500 it's a single cyl. i cannot find any motor i.d. on it.. looking for any info..serial# 217675.. mfg. on .. 10/1980 also want to hook up a tach and speedo... any info on what wires are for the tach , there's a harness coming out of the engine to the ignition key, etc.. but there are several that aren't being used.... i don't want to short it out in a trial and error process, is there any type of ohm meter or voltage test that can be done? also looking for a manual for this sled as well... thanks in advance for any info on this....
