Restoring this vintage machine. Starts but runs rough and dies on idle. My mechanic say needs a Fuel Pump kit. Its so dated nothing available. I've ordered a whole new vacuum Fuel Pump and fuel hoses. Any ideas on restoring an older machine? Want to keep these vintage machines out there running and enjoying the snow!

Does anyone out there have one of these sleds. Apparently they were a reliable durable machine in its day in the artic?
I'm in Canada and hoping to get this sled on the trails!

If you’re still stuck, I have an 86 and was having the same issue (where it would start after WOT for 4-5 pulls, run rough for 7-8 seconds, then quit) and was thinking the fuel pump, but decided to put in a new spark plug, and that solved the issue. Runs perfectly now and will idle as long as there’s gas in it.
