I was just wandering if my snowmobile is junk or something miner to fix. The boy was riding it last week and it died . Then you couldnt pull the rope to start it. I turned it over by taking the plugs out and turned it over backwards till it freed up. sounded like a grinding sound .. When it freed up Pulled the rope and it fired right up.. drove for a few feet and died the same thing .. but freed right back up .. Any suggestions ? Thanks

I had the same trouble. Took the carbs of and the right piston was scored badly. I took the top end off and both pistons were on their last leg. I honed the cylinders replaced the pistons and It ran great. Before i put the new pistons in the sled lacked power and ran like crap. Sputtering, stalling. The piston didn't have proper seal between the rings and cylinder wall causing "blow by" Something worth checking though if it's an older sled like mine.
