I have a 583 rave. Purchased it this year. When I got it it would start with ease. Went to start it yesterday, flooded rear bad, finally got it started, runs good, shut it down,go to start it,won't start. noticed at idle, rpm will go from around 15-1800 and will drop and almost stall any suggestions, getting very mad!!!

Check if your carbs are straight up and down in the boots. Hold a straight edge (ruler) across the tops to make sure they are. If unsure, remove the carbs and clean them on the inside. Disassemble and clean the float needles and seats. Keep in mind that the primer will sometimes allow fuel to bypass the carbs if its defective further flooding the motor.
Good advice, also make sure the pulse line on the fuel pump doesn't have raw fuel in it.
DO NOT GET MAD JUST SHUT THE GAS OFF WHILE YOU ARE NOT RUNNING IT.......... THEN TRY IT / BET IT WORKS NOW ?
