My cousin has a 1997 Zrt 600 with about 6000 miles on it.  The motor has been done several times.  it only has maybe 400 since last rebuild.  It only pulls 6200rpm compression is good 120 across the row. It just happened during bank jumping all the sudden. Secondary is good, primary seems good.  The motor will rev higher to 10000+ with the belt removed.  I cleaned the Carbs synced them set the floats and choke.  And  re drove still will not pull rpm new plugs in it too.  I am suspecting a bad coil what should the ohm readings be on the primary and secondary circuits on the coils.  The one coil that runs one plug has lots of spark, but the one that runs two plugs seems way weaker. any ideas.

When I first seen this message I immediatly thought the pretension on the secondary, but you say it is fine. I wish I could help, sorry. I really only know clutches. I would like to hear what you do or did to remedy this though.

I say broken primary spring..jumping loads the clutches up. But you already know that don't ya Joe? See you in 7 days and counting! Tell Perry to make sure that cat is running when I'm ready to race!

Broken primary spring -- I'll put a beer on it!
