My wifes sled seems like its getting too much gas in the midrange. It will act like you hit the kill switch at 40.....floor it and it bogs almost to stall then cleans up and runs solid from 55-70mph. It will do this several times during a 50 mile ride. What we have done: new belt, deflection, checked main jets and pilot jets, made sure the carbs were sinked. It has stock jetting. It will not idle smooth. Checked clutch and driven both seem ok. Again all pilot jets were clear. I need some help.

A midrange bog is uaually associated with the needle settings. Pull the slides out of the carbs and have a look at where the c clip is sitting. Maybe that will clear up the situation, I know I have had this problem in the past and the needles have been to blame (wasn't as severe as your description though)
