I finally bought a new snowmobile!!!!!  2002 600 efi AND I LOVE IT!!!!   I've been holdin off because I was thinking they should reduce the weight,  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell the 2003 are out and this same machine is now 30 pounds lighter and the 900 is the same weight with 40 more horsepower!!!

what did AC do to reduce the 2003 600 by 30 pounds???  Can I do it economically to my 2002 [

Sorry to say that the 03 F7/F5 are all new sleds from the ground up, in very way. I'd imagine that if these two sleds work out well for Cat, they will move other models to the new chassis. There's not too much you can do to reduce your sleds weight. I wouldn't let it bother you too much; if you like your sled, it's all that matters.

Dust off, do u have a 2002 ZL or a ZR?  The only 2003 600 is a ZL. You cant compare your ZL to the firecats, one is a 500 and the other a 700 in a whole new platform.

I have a 2002 Mountain cat 600 EFI LE.  It weoghs 508 dry.  the 2003 mountain cat 600EFI is 30 pounds lighter than th4e 2002.  It weighs 478 dry.   What did they do to reduce the pounds??
