2004 ski-doo mxz 500 ss, what does the ss stand for, and mean exactly? I'm looking into buying one of these

I believe you are correct ! , because it is not actually a 500 but a 600, but it is a short stroke too.

It could mean... "snow shooter" or "snow screamer" or "sting sting" or "super sleeper"or" Snappy Snot" or "sassy Satisfier" :lmao:

Regardless of what it stands for it means the 500SS is actually a 597 cc or something. So the 500 SS isn't a 500 its actually a 600.

actually, the ss means "secret six" Just a 600cc sled for the price of a 500cc sled. The sled has some serious snappy power, and the best sled I have ever had!!
