I listened to all the bashing over these sleds and all I can say is don't beleive it :whistling: This sled rocks !!! 800 miles trouble free  It will run with anything,it is also a great trail sled. I have never rode any sled with this much torque :eek:hmy: I had a 94 V-max 4 for 10 years...So I do have something too compare it to !!! The 05 900 my have had problems but they must have worked out all the bugs for 06 :) I would put this sled against any other sled. Everyone who has ridden it was impressed with it also and these guys would tell me if they had any issues with it.

They are great sleds despite it's reputation. My 05 has been flawless!!! I bought it new in Feb 05 and have yet to blow a belt. I know some have had problems with the 05s but many have not. The vibration has given the sled a bad rep.
He he, I get to talk again??? :D

I have put nearly 3,000 miles on my 2005 Fusion 900. No problems yet :) (other than hand cramping, they need thicker handlbars). As for belts, my original 1080 belt lasted me 1,762 miles before I chewed some teeth out of it going up a hill... after doing some very fast WOT running. So, it took a lot of abuse to kill it, and it still worked. I travelled over 40 miles before I realized why the sled was a bit rough... the belt never did break. But I had to replace it, obviously.

The 2005 900's are known to have under-sized pistons (I mean weak; thin; they do fit properly). Ya might get 5,000 miles (I dunno, I'm not there yet, I've never had any problems yet) trouble free, but when you do have a problem odds are the ring lands let go or the pistons cracked on ya. Nothing serious, but it does mean you'll have to get new pistons. The 2006 pistons are thicker with larger ring lands to correct this problem. So if I do experience problems with mine, I'll get the '06 installed to correct the problem from ever happening again. So far: no bad news on the '06.

For those Harley fans, the vibration means nothing anyway

I put about 100 miles on an '05 900 fusion a couple of weeks ago up in Thompson. This sled was initially plagued with belt & performance issues. When my buddy bought it this fall, he got all the updates done, and some SLP goodies done to it (airbox & torquestops). This sled ran flawlessly. Tons of torque, the ride was exceptional. Top speed, though was 96 mph indicated. A FST switchback beat it on the lake. ???

What kind of speeds are you folks getting?
I got 104 mph on a lake with about 8 inches of snow on top. It did 75 mph in 660 ft radar run in a foot of powder.
I got 103mph with 2 inches of teeth missing on the belt... yeah... I really should have been paying closer attention. Anyway, she was good for more if I hadn't run out of room :) I've never had the Fusion on ice.
Like the looks of the sled, came within a hair of buying an 06 600 last year. Blue for me!

Yep, the Blue ones are sweet (though I did see a black 900 today that looked really good). Power sports in North Bay has an 06 600 for $8000. Now that's a deal! I almost wish I was shopping for a new sled.
I like mine blue/ black  But the Red/ Blue is sweet too  Heck they all look good

I don't think I've ever seen a red/blue one. I was refering to the blue/black one like yours as the nice looking ones. Very sweet.
They all look nice, don't they? The only reason I like my "all black" is because I can change the color scheme to anything I want, vs. being stuck with the one color scheme. Which is kinda dumb, because if I wanted the blue scheme, all I'd have to do is buy blue. If wanted the red sheme, all I'd have to do is buy red. Instead, I'm left paying to change the colors to what I want. But I'm having fun doing this, and it leaves it with a little bit of a "custom" look to it, and it's not that expensive to add "visual aids" to your sled :)

At first I liked the Blue/black one, but I've gotten used to mine. I'm happy with it anyway :)

If I understand it right the red/blue one were snow checked.
... red/blue? Oh, I thought you meant red/black. I've never seen a red/blue one in person. Just pictures of it (thought it was the 440 racing chassis?).
they made an red and blue fusion 600 racer they called it, it was snowcheck only, they made a few 900's in 05 like this to

Now I know which ones you're talking about. They're the ones with the number plate on them. Yeah, they're SWEET too. And very rare.

Sounds like a better deal :) You can get different shock packages though, which can bump the book value of the sled up another $1,000 :D
