Other than a turbo Jag, what have you heard is coming for 08?

HMM getting rid of all the weight would be nice
Who knows. I think after seeing how tightly Cat kept a lid on the whole '07 release last year, people might think it's useless to speculate. And people honestly may not be expecting much from them this year....I mean, what else can they have to release after replacing nearly 80% of their lineup last year. I think the turbo is the one thing folks (former Tcat type guys) are still waiting for.
The turbo jag is the only thing i want. after that they can leave there lineup just the way it is. although....... :slick: a 1500 hayabusa style four stroke would be nice as well...
I could see a turbo version of the jag this year,,,, but that strictly a rumor that I am starting,,, LOL
from what i was told is the jag will be more likely be super charged than turboed. because they didn't sale many new sleds not much will be changed for 08, but who knows.
There is already an aftermarket tubo on the market for the jag. It jumps the HP to 208 and cost $4199.00 a bargain if you ask me.

Puree... I expect you to come through on that rumor hahaha

Actually, I always use the word turbo, but this is what I have heard too.
There is allot, I mean ALLOT of 07's still in the crate, allready have seen trucks taking inventory back to Thief River when traveling across northern WI. This is probably going to stiffle sales some. My dealer still has 06's, and so do many others. He has had decent sales the last month, but dead prior to that.

That is why I bought a 06' Crossfire 700, it was $3000 less than the 800.

And how much did you spend after that???? :whistling:
Still have allot less into my sled, and am pulling allot more power out of it than the 800s.

IMO the 800 is far off the mark for what it was hyped to be. Yes the 800 has more power in the mid range, but unless you plan on clutching the sled for 6000 rpm I fail to see the advantage.

With the 2 800s I ride with, they have yet to pull next to my 700, and they are geared higher than the way too low 700.

One thing about the 800s that scares me is BOTH of them have EGTs on them, and BOTH of them run a CONSTANT 1390 degees. The DET sensor is CONSTANTLY ON in order to keep it alive.

We unhooked the det sensor and tuned to 1250 degrees on one sled and it runs much better and allot better on fuel. BUT, im sure it is not as clean as the stock setup, thus the need for the DET sensor.

Ha....that was my point Dave. Hopefully we can still get together for a ride sometime.
Time is getting short Jim, but I go to da UP every other weekend, and I am going this weekend. Should go again the weekend of the 17th and 3rd of April
people and their weights, when is going to end up being too light that the sled can;t even handle the motors power, only thing that i think cat should do is bring back the sno pro race sled chassie and throw the 800 into it or even the 1000, its rider foward light wieght

just my opinion
ya but they do not have a Snopro based twin spar racer

it is still the old Firecat based racer

You know is nice to see?

The feed back for the Z-1 Jag,its been almost all positive :)

Only neg so far has been the small gas tank
One downfall of the Twin Spar is parts.

My dealer has two sleds in the crate he has had to part to keep people running due to not getting parts from the factory. He has several belly pan sides, etc.. that have been on order since December.

So he has to pay a tech to rip it off the sled, put on the sled that needs fixed, then pay the tech to repair the sled that the parts came off of. So he is paying 3 times to fix a part that he only gets paid for once.
