Hey! My 2003 Skandic SUV 600 was getting about 225 Km per tank but last winter I was just getting about 150 KMs per tank. Any ideas? I have to bring it to a shop for service and would like a few ideas to discuss with the mechanic. Could jetting be a problem or the RAVE maybe. Not noticing any changes in performance and the way the machine is being used hasn't changed. Info is appreciated. Also, I heard of some reliability issues with this 600 engine in 2002 but haven't heard much since. Did Bombardier fix the trouble and is this now known as a reliable engine or should I expect trouble real soon? I have 6000 Kms on it so far. Thanks

no reliabilty issue with the 600 other then low oil use in 99 its 1st year

you have 34mm carbs vs the 40 on the MXZ/legend/GT

RAVEs could be stuck/dirty,it is not noticeable at 1st as it is gradual

get the RAVEs cleaned, its easy and should be done yearly even if they are not dirty

Carbs is the same way, clean them every year

Could be many things...low compression...fatigued clutch parts...worn out belt...etc
