I ran across a guy today that has a 76 Arctic Cat, liquid cooled 340. Doing a little research, I am thinking that it may be a Z 340 race sled, about 1400 were made according to one source.

This one has an extra gas tank so it may have been used for racing long distance's such as the Winnepeg to St Paul race.

It runs, but cosmetically is rough. The radiator is mounted in front of the engine.

Any ideas on value, or sources for additional information on this sled? TIA

No I don't. Pictures would be hard to get without moving a BUNCH of stuff.

It turns out it is a 77 340 Cross Country. I am trying to buy it, but all of a sudden the seller is playing some games. So who knows.

Are you sure it is a 1976 model or a 1977 model built during 1976? First digit of S/N will tell you the model year. (Ex. 7xxxxxxx is a 1977 model built in 1976)

It could be a Cross Country Cat. 1976 models were F/A but 1977's were L/Q, both are 340's. I have 1-1976 and 2-1977's and I also have a 1979 Eltigre Cross Country.

Does it have dual shocks on the front ski's?
Does it have big round gauges or the oval shaped ones?

What is the Engine Model#: (ex AE34L1)

Post a pic if you can, would like to see it.
