My 2001 mtn cat looses rpm when climbing (down to 7000rpm) I changed the helix from 55 deg to 51 deg and now only drop to 7200 rpm. What should my next move be to try and maintain the rpm at 7500? My primary clutch weights are 66 gram and the machine was geared down as per the recall. All else is as stock set up. Any suggestions would be appreciated because as this machine runs, I could eat it up with may old Piped RMK 700. Love the ride on this beast though.

what elevation are you running this thing at? the guys that are running at 8 -10,000 are using 62 gram weights. make changes in your primary clutch first to get your rpms right. make changes in the secondary to control your upshift and backshift. sounds to me like you need lighter weights.
