Bought the sled a month ago. The smile never leaves my face when riding it. What a cool sled. I was wondering is how big the fuel tank is. I don't have an owners manual. How esay is it to find a Clymer manual on this thing? It doens't seem to have a dip stick for the chain case. How much oil does it hold?

Thanks Phazer Phans out there

I think the tank is 5 gallons Canadaian, there is a bolt on the cover of the chaicase more then half way down when you take that bolt off that is where your level is supposed to be....I have n't seen a Clymer manual for any Phazer past 1989 ..............Just sold my 1992 Phazer ST I am going to miss it ..........
I believe the tank size is around 8.3 gallons, that's how much my 1990 holds...

Correct about the bolt on the crankcase, you just fill it till it comes out the hold and you're good.
chain case holds a tick over 8 ounces. Make sure you have a gasket for the cover. If the previous owner didn't change the oil much the gaket will probably tear or crack.
i have a 93 le
what are the differences from le to st?
The St is long track 136" I believe Le is electric start .........
ahhh yes longtrack i figured
thats what i needed the other day up in the mountain...lotta time gettin unstuck...not near as much for me as for the mxz700 the zl 600 and the rx1 ha haaaa! and my phazer has a crazy belt a NASTY! track a completely shot rear shock and a 260 pounder in control. gotta love a phazer
if only i had a decent track and a sensible shock... ah well next season!
long track phazer gotta be good!
and did i see them with high and low range before???
Thanks for the replys, guys.
I ran 60 miles in Cooke City Montana this past weekend and was wondering how accurate the gauge was, as it was showing near empty.

Even with the standard track the thing does suprisingly well. I pulled up to two guys attacking a steep hill with M 1000 Arctic Cats and gave her a good try. Made it up 1/3 of the way up, and laughed with the guys when I got back down. They where impressed.

I see a RYDE FX shock for the rear skid offered in some parts mags. I was thinking of picking up one this summer as well.

Thanks again.

Will have more questions.

i find the gauge isnt too bad just remember that there is still 1/3 of a tank after you hit the bottum of the gauge.....i think i could be mistaken i thought i seen a 1/3 mark right on the bottum take a look.
yeah im going for a ryde fx shock in the spring. SLEDMAN recomended it to me. Im a big boy and need some quality in a shock......
i cant wait to feel the difference its so bouncy now that my friends can hardly ride er cuz they are light and get through around. when i try to climb big hills with bumps its brutal cuz i lose all my traction from bouncing. not to mention my back may never forgive me.
i cant wait to see what a good track is gonna do...im thinkin full block track. any opinions?
Hey could some one post a picture of the a phazer st. My brother has a 91 Phazer II. I know it has a 121'' x 15'' in track and electric start. Does the ST have a larger seat then the II?

I'd be interested to see any pictures that anyone has of these old phazers. here is the one that my family has, it was my mom's machine until she stopped having an interest in riding. Shes still in pretty good shape, only has about 4,000 miles on it. I'm not sure what model or year it is.
