Hi everybody,
1)  I finally got to ride my sled on some trails this weekend.  I have found that it wants to rev really high at slow speeds.  Once I reach a certain speed the clutch appears to shift and bring the revs back down.  I assume this shift is happening because of the multiple angle helix.  I would like to have the shift happen sooner...how would I accomplish that?  I primarily ride on trails, but I don't want to lose top end on the lake.  Actic Cat shows that my sled has had the update, but somebody rebuilt the clutch again and it has a red spring in it.

2)  Do I need special tools to work on the clutch?

3)  Thank you!

the 99 model had massive recallsy by cat.  The CDI was part of it along with the jetting and the clutching.  I would check to make sure yours was done.  Check the recall page on this site.

Yes, the recall has been done...my dealer checked my VIN on Saturday.  The guy I bought the sled from put the red spring back in the primary though.
