hi all....just over at buddys house andd he wanted to replace a rectifier on a 90 safari cheyenne 503....he cut a blackwire and a blk/yell going to a box bolted on the inside part of the oil tank mount...i said wrong thing....reg is under engine....replaced reg....dont blow lite...sled still runnin ok with wires still cut...what does that 2 wire box do for the ignition???? i say ign because of the blk/yell stripe wire....thanx all Brian

Its a voltage regulator. Seems that the 1990 to 1992 used a two wire plus the ground bolt which passed through the centre of it.
