On my 93 Mach 1 670 rotax, it has a huge bulky air box, that is always in the way when i want to work on my carbs or wiring. My buddy has a 96 or 97 MXZ 670, and his air box is half the size.

My question is......Can i buy an airbox for an MXZ and put it on my Mach 1? Would re-jetting be required?

The newer air box will fit the carbs but the inlet is located differently. Yes the jetting will be affected because the earlier model weren't tuned and the newer (starting in 1995) are.

what does re-jetting entail? my sled came with an aftermarket pipe and can so adjustments are already made to the carbs i'm guessing, so how does the pipe affect adjustments?
