[attachment=36342:DSC00002.JPG]Seeking some Knowledge, I have an 87 formula plus 521 (type 537) I have slightly modified this engine and would like to take it to its full potential. So far I have installed a 1ft X1in diameter stinger on the stock 87FP pipe(side exit no muffler), Serviced the VM-40s and jetted accordingly to accomodate the increase in scavenging efficiancy, removed the air box and installed low restriction air filters, corrected ignition timing to blueprint specs, cleaned up transfer ports(no dimentional changes). The engine responded quite well to these few changes. I am looking for some knowledge and experience with this engine to get me to the next level. Hence, Porting, Rotary valve, twin pipes, induction, etc. my wife and I actually ride modern sleds, this old thing is simply my toy. I appreciate any recipes or knowledge on this old but impressive engine platform. Thank you, P
