Hey, I was wondering if anyone here used mIRC and if they would be interested in starting a snowmobile chat it seems the SW chat is never populated with anyone.

mIRC is too troublesome and EXTREMELY dangerous in terms of hackers with people who aren't behind a good firewall. Guaranteed, if it's worth having a snowmobile chat on there, it already exists. People who are knowledgeable, don't want to be bothered by live chat. Gives them time to respond and do more research before replying to a help question. Nothing like having 10 people bombard someone at the same time who's well known as a good mechanic. In my opinion, anyway.

lol, just getting on the internet is no worse than getting on irc. Put up a PC fresh on the internet and you will get 10 port scans within hours. Even worse if you are on big ISP's like sympatico, verizon etc

irc always gets a interesting breed of people.
Sweet! I'm finally "interesting"!

[I hang out on a couple network admin IRC channels]
well it surely would be good to start one some people do like the company of other sledders.
Ok, I gotta ask, what the hell is mIRC?
mIRC is a "chat" program. Used primarily as a way for users to send illegal copies of software programs/videos/etc. I've known mIRC more as a pirating hangout which poses as a chat in order to cover up the illegal actions taking place. Tried it once, got hacked with a firewall, won't use it again. If you go on there and never meet a hacker "face-to-face" I'd be extremely surprised.
