I have installed on my 2002 ZR 800 efi C/C  a Black Magic Hearthrob clutch kit and R/T canister. First run with it, it would not pull over 7100 rpm. It was pullin harder than stock though. Played with the secondary spring and helix shims but still wouldn't pull the extra weight. B/M sent out a primary spring for this kit and once installed it brought the engagement up to 4300 rpm and peak upto 7500. Pulls hard out of the hole and has wicked accellaration. I removed the coupler blocks to get the thing to hook. Setup is a little soft for my weight but hooks great and hangs the skis for a long stretch. Haven't had the greatest snow conditions to ride in and as of today the snow is all gone . When we had snow we tested my stock ZR against a stock 2002 XC 700. Difference in weight between riders was 120 pounds (i'm a big dude) and we were dead even. Switching sleds, my ZR was 6 lengths ahead. After clutching the XC 700 i was 2 lengths behind. Now all the snow is gone and i haven't had a chance to run the XC with the new setup. Hoping to kick his a** with a huge weight diadvantage in my corner. Just want to know if anyone has tried the [email protected] setup and how it works.Oh yeah, anybody else having problems starting their 800 efi when the engine is warm. I have to hold the throttle open to get it to start. Sometimes it starts good when warm, and sometimes it will fire once then die. Then Ihave to hold the throttle open for it to start. I tightend up the throttle cable to spec but to no avail. Oh well, back to the dealer I go .

D and D drag races Black Magic does not, have you ever seen a Black Magic man win a sanctioned event I have not, in 6 years. I have heard nothing but negative from purchasers of any heart throb kits and silencer's. Sound good but that was it, sorry. Black magic can port an engine, but leave the rest to Dand D.

I have a D&D set up my 00 zr 600 efi. I like it. Except I'm eaten my belt up when i do stop and go.. Think i might try a softer spring. BUt any way she goes. I weigh about 250 and it moves with me on it. So what its worth I am happy with mine.

You should call black magic they have a bulletin out on that kit. They tested it in Alaska cause there wasn't enough snow around them. When they did test it around them finally they noticed the same thing. I would definately check with them. Also check there web site i forget where i saw it but it is there. they will help you get the problem fixed. I like Black magic and when it is set up it will fly.

I don't know but I do know that the AC racers always say that there is no magic in Black Magic parts.Maybe that is why they run D&D or speedwerx in their sleds I know tucker Runns Speed Werxs aka Hot Seat Performance (yes a Polaris performance shop) and has been running it for three years now.

Hey ZR006CatMan I have the same sled. I have a D&D clutch kit, D&D pipe and chipand a D&D can. I just recently put 120 stainless studboys on it. I really like the set up. My only down fall is the there is still that little bottom end hesitation when I give it some gas. But when she does kick in holy %#[email protected] I want to invest in a rear suspension kit to eliminate the ski lift.
