I have a 2000 MXZ 700, while doing my preseason inspection I noticed the brake disc has about 3-5 degrees of rotational play on the shaft. I compared it to my 99 MXZ and it didn't have any play in it. It doesn't seem serious but I am wondering if this is normal or a sign of impending trouble?

My 2000 MXZ 700 had about the same amount of play, I put a new key on the shaft.
The more play you have the faster the faster the key will wear/shear.
If it shear's no brakes.

Just my .02

Play is perfectly normal, some seem real bad but dont worry about it. I used to own a sled shop and have been around sleds all my life and Ive never heard of anyone shearing off a key.
