hey guys last ride was a warm weather ride on my 97 zr 580 efi...well i popped the hood to fill oil today and there is a light orange dust everywhere...what is the deal? is it cuz it was warm and my break overheated?? or is it break dust at all...lemme know thanks

I don't know about orange, but My new zl and I just went on a 55 mile HIGH SPEED river ride and i got BRAKE dust  (Black) all over everything
!!!  damn river is finally ridable,,

thats not brake dust you are seeing it is the insulation from you pipe.  

check the rivots holding your pipe together when they are loose or missing it will let particles of insulation loose when riding and cause everything under you hood to have have a rust orange color to it

yup, definately from your exhaust, just as zr 580's said, put new rivets in, they tend to rust out.  After you do you might notice your sled to be a hair quieter because that outter exhaust shield won't be rattling anymore.
