Am owner of 2 cycle 583cc MXZ with 3200 miles. Is there an additive that should be added to gas or an oil that has "decarb" agents mixed with the oil to prevent carbon buildup and oil "coaking" of the rings? I use TCW 3 rated for my 150HP bassboat motor with "carb X" mixed with the oil. I assume that the technology is the same? Thanks for any clarification.

I think polaris had something like that, probably the same stuff? I've used OMC "tuneup" in my boat, not in the gas though. Sprayed it in the plug holes and soaked the piston crowns, left it over night, then ran the crap out of the boat the next day. It'd blow a bunch of crap out initially and try and cough a few times like a plug was trying to foul. My concerns with running it in the fuel would be anything strong enough to loosen carbon would wash the oil film off at the same time.
