I just purchased an 02 zr600 cross county in like new condition except for the fact it has about 4000 miles on it. I figured the clutch should be gone through at the end of the season. I am looking for ease and reliability. Are the clutch kits like "Black Magic" worth it or is OEM going to last longer and be less expensive.

Get a clutch kit if you want to put in and ride

or you can play around with helixes and sprinsg and weights like I did

Until my clutch ate itself last week, I've been extreemly happy with my D&D kit. There are guys on this board that can get you a great setup using stock parts as well. It was recommended to use polaris 10 weights on my ZR500. Turns out after a phone call to D&D to get new weights after my clutch ate them.....yep, D&D uses Polaris 10 wights in the clutch kit.
