i am going up with a group full of guys who all ride tundercat 900's and 1000's, i have a 99 zrt 800, i put a heartthrob clutch on it. will that take care of the clutch problems that the 99 zrt's have been having if not tell me what else i can do to fix it. my sled did have its recall changes. also i have gutted airbox, v force reeds and silencer will i keep up or get smoked!!!

YOU SHOULD TROUNCE THE 900'S MY BRO-IN-LAW HAD A 94 T-CAT STOCK AND MY BUDDY HAD A 97 ZRT 800 STOCK AND THE ZRT BEAT HIM NO PROBLEM THR T-CAT HAD TO GO AND GET A GOODWIN CLUTCH KIT AND V-FORCE REEDS TO BEAT THE STOCK 800 I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE 1000'S MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE HAS RACED ONE BUT I DO KNOW THIS THE 97'S WERE ABOUT THE BEST YEAR FOR ZRT 800'S GOOD LUCK LET US KNOW HOW YOU DID AGAINST THE BIGGER BOYS

I think the bigger sleds will still walk away from you, but you shouldn't get "dusted" by any means.  Haven't heard many good things about that clutch kit, but I hope it works good for you.  You'll have to line 'em up and let us know how your faired against the big boys.  And if you loose, no big deal because you were the underdog from the start!haha

Well first of all don't compare apples to oranges, the 93-95 T-Cat could not hook up, I wish I had a dime for every 93-95 T-Cat I trounced with my 95 ZRT 800. 96 is when they went to the ZRT chassis and the T-Cat's hooked up much better. Just depends on how the T-Cats are set up, their finicky and have a smaller power band the most sleds, but when you reach that there is not another stock sled that will come close..
IMO and others the Cat got real conserative with thier clutching after 97, so if the T-Cats haven't been monkeyed with you could probably stay up with them for awhile...
