I have a 2000 mxz 600, i bought a shop manual from doo and I cont seem to find
the compression specs.does any body know what factory specs are?

I went out for a ride the other day and coud not get my sled to go past 140-145kph
maby the motors getting weak at 3000kms or something, I know thats fast enough
but Ive taken it faster and that is what bothers me

compression should be roughly 130-140psi with 5psi from each side

at 3000kms the motor is barely broken in

Might want to check your clutches and belt

how high are you reving when full out?

You should easily see 155-165kmph on the dream meter
If the temps are mild you won't reach top speed either, runs too rich.
WHAT WAS THE TEMPS THAT DAY ? MINE LOVES TEMPS IN THE 15D TO 25DEGS.
I just put a new belt on about 30 kms ago, and it revs at 8000 rpm(I think I have it set on
#3 or 4 on my clutch) as for the temp its about -5 to -8 celcius
ill doo a compression test first thanks
